Area Overview

What makes Naigaon West special

Naigaon West runs from the Western line out toward the coast and the Vasai Creek mouth. It is greener and lower-density than the east side, with a very different character.

The coastal villages here — Juchandra, Chulna and the settlements toward Rangaon — are old East Indian Catholic and Koli communities, with churches, wadis and working fishing jetties that predate the townships by centuries.

Newer developments sit between the station and the villages. Roads out to the coast are narrow, and civic provision thins noticeably the further west you go.
