Area Overview

What makes Vasai East special

Vasai East runs from Vasai Road station across to the Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. Vasai Road is the junction where the Western line meets the Diva–Vasai line, which gives it connections the rest of this belt lacks.

The MIDC estate and the industrial belt sit along the eastern side, with township development filling the land between them and the station over the last fifteen years.

Tungareshwar is the real amenity here — a protected sanctuary with forest trails and a temple, immediately east of the built-up area. Little else in the MMR has that on its doorstep.
