Area Overview

What makes Naigaon East special

Naigaon East is the first station past Bhayandar on the Western line, and the closest part of the Vasai-Virar belt to Mumbai. That single fact is what drives its market.

It grew almost entirely through township development from the 2010s onward — large gated projects on former agricultural land, with the Vasai Creek to the south and the Tungareshwar hills to the east.

Infrastructure has lagged that growth. Water supply, drainage and internal roads are the recurring complaints, and much of what exists was built by developers rather than the corporation.
