Area Overview

What makes Chunabhatti special

Chunabhatti sits between Sion and Kurla on the Harbour line, wrapped around the Eastern Express Highway. The Santacruz–Chembur Link Road and the BKC connector run through it, which is the single fact that changed its market.

It is a working belt rather than a destination — chawls and co-operative societies alongside the Somaiya campus at its northern edge, with the Mithi River and mangrove line to the west.

What you buy here is proximity at a discount. BKC is about 4 km, Dadar about 6, and the price is a fraction of either — against a dense streetscape, thin retail and civic infrastructure that lags the rest of Central Mumbai.

Why choose Chunabhatti?

Chunabhatti is the cheapest way to be near BKC. You get a Harbour line station, the BKC connector and the SCLR on your doorstep, the Somaiya campus and hospital next door, and a 12-minute cab to BKC — at roughly a third of what Bandra East costs. The trade-offs are a dense mixed-income streetscape, thin retail, highway noise and civic infrastructure well behind the rest of Central Mumbai.
