Talwade sits on the Indrayani river at the northern edge of the PCMC area, and it is the belt’s second IT cluster. The Talwade MIDC IT park hosts several software and engineering campuses, on a much smaller scale than Hinjewadi.
That gives it something most of the northern PCMC belt lacks: white-collar employment inside the locality, rather than a long commute to it.
Residential development sits between the IT park and the river, with the Chikhali side to the south and Dehu Road to the west. It is still filling in — retail and schooling remain thin.
