Wakad’s main junction and retail spine

Area Overview

What makes Datta Mandir Wakad special

Datta Mandir Chowk is Wakad’s main junction and its commercial spine. The temple the chowk is named for sits at its centre, and the roads radiating from it carry most of the suburb’s everyday retail.

This is the busiest and most walkable pocket in Wakad — banks, clinics, restaurants, coaching classes and the largest concentration of ground-floor shops in the suburb are all within a few hundred metres.

It is also the most congested. The chowk carries traffic between the Hinjewadi road and the Pimple Saudagar side, and it does not move freely at peak.
