Area Overview

What makes Parel special

Parel is the medical capital of western India. KEM, Tata Memorial, Wadia Children’s and Global Hospital sit within a kilometre of each other, and patients travel here from across the country.

It is also mill country. Lalbaug and Bhoiwada still hold the chawls, Lalbaugcha Raja draws millions each Ganpati, and the old compounds behind them have become residential towers.

It prices below Lower Parel while sharing its station, its access and much of its supply. The trade-off is a streetscape that swings between hospital traffic, chawl density and new towers within a few hundred metres.
