Area Overview

What makes Khar West special

Khar West is Bandra’s quieter twin — the same tree-lined lanes, boutiques and cafes, on a smaller and calmer scale. It runs from Linking Road through the numbered roads to Khar Danda and the Carter Road seafront.

Khar Gymkhana anchors the social side, the 14th and 15th Road stretches carry the boutique and dining scene, and Khar Danda still holds the original Koli fishing settlement at the western edge.

It trades at a small discount to Bandra West while sharing most of its infrastructure. The trade-offs are the same too: ageing buildings, scarce parking, and yields near 2%.

Why choose Khar West?

Khar West gives you almost everything Bandra West does — tree-lined lanes, Linking Road, Carter Road, a walkable station and a dense cafe and bar scene — at a modest discount and with noticeably less noise. The trade-offs mirror Bandra’s: yields near 2%, scarce parking, a lot of 40-year-old stock with redevelopment uncertainty, and entry pricing that leaves nothing affordable.
