Area Overview

What makes Dombivli East special

Dombivli East is one of the largest and densest towns in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and among the most strongly Marathi-speaking places anywhere in the MMR. It has a distinct cultural identity that residents guard closely.

The MIDC industrial estate sits to the east, the Kalyan–Shil road runs south toward Navi Mumbai, and the town has grown rapidly outward through township development at Manpada, Nandivali and Sagarli.

Metro Line 12 from Kalyan to Taloja is planned to serve it, and the Kalyan Ring Road is under construction. Both would materially change access; neither is finished.
