Area Overview

What makes Andheri East special

Andheri East is Mumbai’s biggest employment suburb. SEEPZ, the MIDC estate, the Chakala office belt and both airport terminals all sit inside it, and it runs from the station across the Western Express Highway to Marol, Sakinaka and the Powai border.

It is several districts under one name: Chakala for offices and hotels, Marol for the industrial and export belt around the old village, Sakinaka for the Andheri–Kurla Road trade corridor, and the JVLR towers to the east.

Metro Line 1 crosses it with four stations and Line 7 runs the highway, so the transit is exceptional. What you trade for it is an industrial streetscape, constant freight traffic and aircraft noise.

Why choose Andheri East?

Andheri East is bought for work and transit. Both rail lines, four Metro Line 1 stations, Line 7 on the highway, SEEPZ and the MIDC estate inside it, and the international terminal about 2 km away. Prices sit well below Andheri West. The trade-offs are an industrial streetscape, audible aircraft noise, constant freight traffic on the Andheri–Kurla Road, and quality that swings sharply between Chakala, Marol, Sakinaka and the JVLR belt.
