Area Overview

What makes Ramavarappadu special

Ramavarappadu Ring is where the Kolkata-Chennai national highway meets the eastern approach to Vijayawada. The junction is one of the busiest in the region and has become a growth point for warehousing, commercial development and residential layouts around it.

IT IS A JUNCTION WITH A LOCALITY AROUND IT rather than a neighbourhood in its own right, and a listing here should name the specific layout or colony. THE PROPOSED METRO VIADUCT from Benz Circle would end here — a proposal, not a station.

HIGHWAY-SIDE LAND CARRIES ITS OWN QUESTIONS: highway setback and access permissions, heavy vehicle traffic and noise at all hours, and the difference between frontage and land behind it.

Local train and transport links serving Ramavarappadu, Vijayawada

Exceptionally Connected

Rail, road and air • NO METRO IN SERVICE — proposed, land acquisition begun, nothing built • Vijayawada Junction • Airport 10 km

Local Train

Vijayawada Junction is one of the busiest stations in India, on the main east coast trunk route, with Gunadala and Rayanapadu also serving the urban area.

Metro

Vijayawada has NO METRO IN SERVICE. The Phase 1 plan is two corridors of about 38 km from Pandit Nehru Bus Station to Penamaluru and to Nidamanuru via the airport, including a double-decker viaduct between Benz Circle and Ramavarappadu Ring. The state approved the DPR in 2024 and land acquisition began in early 2025, but REPORTS THROUGH EARLY 2026 SAID FORMAL CENTRAL FUNDING SANCTION WAS STILL OUTSTANDING. NOTHING IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. CHECK CURRENT STATUS, and do not pay for a station that has not been built.

Airport

Vijayawada International Airport is at GANNAVARAM, about 20 km east - which is itself a row on this sheet, and a separate town rather than a city neighbourhood.

Roads

The EM Bypass, VIP Road, Diamond Harbour Road and Barrackpore Trunk Road form the arterial network, with Chowringhee through the centre.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about living, buying and renting in Ramavarappadu.

Is Ramavarappadu a good place to live?

RAMAVARAPPADU IS BEST KNOWN AS THE RING JUNCTION where NH-16 meets the city — a major traffic point, and the proposed end of the metro double-decker viaduct.

What is the average property price in Ramavarappadu?

Purchase prices are typically around ₹14,000–19,000 per sq.ft, with a typical 2 BHK ranging from ₹70L to ₹89L.

What is the rent for a 2 BHK in Ramavarappadu?

A 2 BHK in Ramavarappadu typically rents for ₹32,000 to ₹59,000 per month depending on building, floor and condition.

What is different about buying on a national highway frontage?

Access and setback, mainly, and both are decided by the highway authority rather than the local body. Direct access onto a national highway is controlled, so a plot with apparent frontage may not be permitted to open onto it, and building lines are set back from the highway boundary by a prescribed distance that reduces the usable depth. Neither is visible from the road, and neither is something the local approval addresses. Get both in writing for the specific plot. Then judge the practical side at night, when the freight is moving and the traffic is at its loudest.

Is Ramavarappadu suitable for families?

Local CBSE schools operate within 2 km with a local CBSE school about 7 km and Regional international school about 6 km, plus local hospitals about 2 km.

Is Ramavarappadu a good investment?
