Area Overview

What makes Mahalaxmi special

Mahalaxmi is the most open part of South Mumbai. The Mahalaxmi Racecourse covers over two hundred acres at its centre, and the Willingdon Sports Club sits alongside it — an expanse of green found nowhere else in the island city.

The Mahalaxmi Temple and Haji Ali Dargah anchor the western shoreline, with the sea on one side and the racecourse on the other. Dhobi Ghat sits to the east, still working.

Aqua Line 3 has a station here, and the belt holds some of the most expensive residential towers in India. Stock is scarce and very closely held.

Why choose Mahalaxmi?

Mahalaxmi is the most open address in South Mumbai — the racecourse and Willingdon between them provide green space nothing else in the island city matches, with the sea, Haji Ali and the temple on the western edge. A Western line station, an Aqua Line 3 stop and Lower Parel five minutes east. Against that: yields near 2–2.5%, very scarce stock, and entry pricing among the highest in India.
