*** SURAT HAS NO OPERATING METRO YET. *** PHASE 1 IS 40.35 KM AND 38 STATIONS across two corridors - the RED LINE (Sarthana to DREAM City, 21.61 km, 20 stations) and the GREEN LINE (Bhesan to Saroli, 18.74 km, 18 stations), built by GMRCL. TRIAL RUNS BEGAN ON 29 MARCH 2026 on an 8.5 km elevated stretch between DREAM CITY AND ALTHAN TENEMENT, with about 500 hours of testing before RDSO and CMRS inspections. A JUNE 2026 LAUNCH SLIPPED, and reporting in late August 2026 pointed to that short stretch OPENING AROUND NOVEMBER 2026. FULL PHASE 1 IS EXPECTED IN DECEMBER 2027. Planned stations include VIP ROAD, ADAJAN, ATHWALINES, CHOWK BAZAR, UDHNA DARWAJA and VARACHHA - several of which are zones or rows on this sheet. NOTHING IS RUNNING. CHECK CURRENT STATUS.

Surat Airport at Magdalla is about 12 km south-west, near the Dumas side.
