Area Overview
What makes Bannerghatta Road special
Bannerghatta Road is a corridor rather than a neighbourhood, and that is the most useful thing to know about it. It runs south from the Dairy Circle end past JP Nagar and Hulimavu toward Bannerghatta National Park.
Its defining feature is healthcare. Apollo, Fortis and several other large hospitals line the inner stretches, which makes this the densest medical corridor in south Bengaluru.
Character changes substantially along its length. The inner stretches near Jayanagar and JP Nagar are settled and central; past Hulimavu and Gottigere the belt is newer, cheaper and further from everything.

Why choose Bannerghatta Road?
Bannerghatta Road offers the densest hospital cluster in south Bengaluru — Apollo within 2 km, Fortis within 3 — plus Christ University and IIM Bangalore within 3 km, DPS within 3, and two malls on the corridor. The critical point is that this is a corridor spanning many kilometres: the inner stretches near JP Nagar are settled and central, the outer ones past Hulimavu are newer and cheaper. Be specific about which stretch, and expect severe peak congestion throughout.
